Two Early Childhood Interventionists

PROGRAM
The Prince Albert Early Childhood Intervention Program requires two Early Childhood Interventionists due to new funding. One position is full time and one is .5 time (but will become .9 by fall) with flexed hours. These positions are funded until March 31, 2020 with possible extensions. It provides the opportunity to work both on, and off, First Nation communities.

Our Interventionists provide support to families who have children, birth to kindergarten age, with a developmental delay, disability, or a risk for delay. We make regular home visits to provide information and support to the family. The information and ideas may be regarding child development, ideas and strategies for stimulating play and activities, and
community resources. During visits, activities are demonstrated, family concerns discussed, and solutions explored.

Minimum requirements: post-secondary diploma or degree in the field of Early Childhood (level3), Social Work, Education or related fields. Experience preferred in these fields. Must have a valid, clean driver’s license.

In addition, you will need to provide a current, clear Police check before being hired.

This position requires someone who is willing, and able, to be flexible and committed to the job.
