Lakeland Ford accepting donations for Fort McMurray evacuees

If you’re looking to make donations for Fort McMurray evacuees, Lakeland Ford will graciously accept any cash or items you’re willing to spare.

General Manager, Scott Newsom, said they decided to take on the task of collecting donations after a number of Prince Albert residents wanted to know where they could make a contribution.

“We thought we would, as a member of the community, try to eliminate the issues of where and what (to donate) and become that drop-off location,” he said.

The location is accepting non-perishable food items, clothing and toiletries.

Newsom said staff plans to load two cargo vans with items for the Red Cross. He said they will accept donations until the vans are full.
